You like Jesse Rose? Well his Made to Play camp recently mailed me this fine double disc titled Playing Around. One disc is an unmixed collection of vinyl only releases that are only available for the first time digitally and the other is a crushing mix by Oliver $ that shows cases these songs in a DJ mix friendly style.

Made to Play is definitely one of my favorite labels at the moment and is going to be one to look towards for the freshest nu-house joints. Dudes like Elon, Little Bo Tweak, and Alfonoso Mango are quick on the come up and restoring faith in dance music once again.

This CD drops April 28th so you need to get it and out it in your Serato ASAP. Don’t be left rocking the club with the same wack 128 bit rate version remixes, come on kids.

Cut Copy- Lights and Music (Boys Noize Happy Birthday Remix)

I have had the flu this week so I have been out of commission and I had to miss like 3 gigs because of it. Sucks. In the meantime I have gone through the tedious process of re-naming genres of all my track in iTunes then building smart playlists for each of them to better organize my music. I get so much good music that I download but I can never find it when I need it, I just want to beef up the way I can search through my tracks and make it easier to find the bangers faster, if you using the Serato you feel my pain. Also why doesn’t Serato have play count built in like iTunes does? I checked the Serato forum and some guy suggested this feature back in 2004 and they still haven’t added it, hmmm. I think that would make all DJs life that much better.

I just interviewed Jessie Rose for the new Anthem I have attached a snippet below. The new issue is out so go pick it up!

Lastly on Feb 21st I start my new weekly venture Fever along with the amazing DJ Haul & Wyatt Case. It has been a while since I have had a weekly. So now I have a new home at Temporary Spaces every Thursday starting Feb 21st, with special guests Fluokids on the first week. This kids tear shit up in person and their French so we have to show them some love. There will be free drinks, hard beats, and tons of chicks thats for sure.

Just saw this right now. I think they need to change the artwork on the flyer because the blue makes it super hard to read the artists. Not many headliners this year (Roger Waters is dope!) but tons of rad other bands on the bill .

My site is back up and running properly now. After a new install of Wordpress, I pretty much lost all the information I had from older posts. I had to go through and repopulate the whole blog but thanks to from help with Alex & Keith I am back online.

Here is a new quick mix I just made with Charlie Sputnik which is under 25 minutes and reveals a more mainstream side of things. Some new tracks, top 40 remixes, and club classics throw in for good measure. Would love to hear you feedback after you download this mix.
